Teacher, your exhaustion is not proof that you're bad at what you do.
You're exhausted because no one showed you how to build classroom systems that support you.
You were trained in child development. You were trained in standards. You were trained in lesson planning. But no one sat down and showed you how to design a preschool or kindergarten classroom where transitions are smooth, expectations are clear, and little bodies know exactly what to do next.
So you find yourself repeating directions. Overly managaging the same student behaviors. Trying to teach phonics while little Johnny is under a table and little Ashley is in tears.
And slowly, you start wondering if you're the problem.
Let me reassure you that
YOU'RE NOT THE PROBLEM.

The Calm Classroom Method
Introducing
A 10 month self study course to guide you step-by step on a journey to creating less overwhelm in your classroom and more calm in your students and your life
What you need are:
Consistent routines, clear visual expectations, and predictable systems that young children can understand and follow.
When your students know where to go, what to do, and what comes next, behavior shifts. Engagement increases. Your voice softens. The day feels manageable.
I've spent 31 years in classrooms just like yours. I know what it feels like to juggle circle time, centers, behavior, parents, paperwork, and expectations that never seem to slow down.
You need systems that work for early learners. And once those systems are in place, everything changes.
Hello There!
I'M AREULIA DAVIS
ALSO KNOWN AS THE EDUCATOR'S EDUCATOR
I help overwhelmed educators in early childhood stop putting out fires and create predictable systems that protect their time and sanity.
I've known I wanted to be a teacher since kindergarten. I still remember sitting in Morning Circle, completely captivated by my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Fortuneberry's ability to lead our classroom with so much grace and effortlessness. The songs, the questions, the way she could guide an entire room of young learners with calm and clarity. That experience shaped my desire to become an educator.
I went on to spend 3 decades in early childhood and elementary classrooms, teaching, mentoring, modeling lessons, and developing strong classroom management systems that helped students thrive. I worked in under-resourced communities, supported struggling learners, trained future educators, and led professional development for adults across Chicago.
What I discovered over those decades is simple: children thrive in structured environments. And teachers do too.

After retiring from Chicago Public Schools, I knew my work was not finished. I had systems, strategies, and classroom-tested practices that could help educators feel steady again. Today, as an educational consultant, I help early childhood teachers build clear routines, consistent expectations, and instructional systems that reduce stress and increase student engagement.
My mission is not just to help teachers remain in education, it's to help them teach with confidence and love what they do.

Testimonials
As a teacher, I strive to ensure that my students feel seen, heard, and valued. Mrs. Davis was the perfect example of that in my own life.
Being a Black girl at a predominantly white school, I often felt invisible. When I entered her classroom, everything changed. She loved on me as if I were her own. Every morning she greeted me with a smile, a hug, and an encouraging word.
She reminded me that no matter what obstacles I faced, I had the power and strength to overcome them. Her classroom was a place where I felt safe, supported, and capable. The way she showed up for me continues to shape the way I show up for my own students today.
I am truly blessed to have her as a mentor in my life.
